Piraeus Port

Piraeus lies on the Saronikos Gulf towards the south-east of the Greek mainland. It is the major port in Greece and has been the port of Athens for centuries.

Piraeus Port is separated in four zones:

At  "Piraeus Roads (Anchorage)" many vessels transit (maximum stay 24 hours) for bunkering and provisioning, crew changes, annual inspections, minor electronic repairs, etc. For anchorage, ships' crew should be aware that the most dangerous winds are South, South East and South West.
