Pachi (EL.PE. - Oil Terminal)

Pachi  (EL.PE. oil terminal for tanker vessels) (see chart)

(Pachi terminal, located in Megara Bay (37º58'N / 23º23'E), is one of Hellenic Petroleum S.A.'s facilities (www.hellenic-petroleum.gr/online/sitemap.aspx). The terminal is approached very easy and directly from the deep waters of the bay. A pilot is compulsory, with pilot boarding south-west of North Pachi Island.

Vessels of 20,000-600,000 dwt can be berthed, usually starboard alongside. Tugs usually join the vessel near the Pachi Anchorage. Ship's lines are always used. During discharge, one safety tug stands by, in line with the port authority's requirements, in case of storms.

Restrictions: Max draught 29m, Max DWT 600,000 draught
